Exercise your green thumb with Green Souls
What’s this about?
The good folks at Green Souls practise, teach and promote urban organic farming to address environmental and health concerns in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Their food garden and community farm located at Tata Memorial Hospital in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai grows chemical-free/organic food for children affected by cancer to boost their immune system.
One can be part of their ‘Volunteer Farm’ programme to get a deeper understanding of kitchen gardening. Volunteering however can also extend to marketing, communications, photography and videography, etc.
They also conduct workshops on organic kitchen gardening and home composting to encourage people to take to greener practices at home.

Who’s behind it?
Founded in 2012 by Julius Rego, Green Souls has since sown the seeds of urban organic farming. They have grown widely from conducting kitchen gardening workshops in schools and now have various initiatives towards a healthy and sustainable life.
