Description

Made from 100% virgin bamboo pulp, the Beco Facial Tissues are the more sustainable option to the regular tree-based paper tissues, that contribute to deforestation.

Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on Earth. Not only does it use less water to grow, but it also generates more oxygen and removes more carbon dioxide from the air than trees, making it the most renewable source of plant-based material available for manufacturing products.

The Beco Bamboo Facial Tissues are thick in construction, and feature an enhanced power of absorbency thanks to the 2-ply feature, instead of the typical single ply. They are soft on the skin and devoid of chemicals, bleaching agents and parabens. Being free of synthetic colours and fragrance, allergens are eliminated, making this facial tissue ideal for a baby and expecting mother.

100% biodegradable and packaged in a recycled paper container, here is your answer to a more mindful everyday facial cleansing routine.

Ethico says

We are so impressed with the strong construction of the bamboo facial tissues. Softer than regular paper-based facial tissues, it felt thicker and more absorbent. It also felt great to use a chemical-free personal hygiene product that’s safe for our bodies and our waste management systems.

About the brand

With a vision to provide sustainable alternatives to such everyday single use products, Aditya Ruia, Anuj Ruia, and Akshay Varma founded Beco (Be Eco), a consumer goods company in 2018, which manufactures biodegradable and sustainable alternatives to single use-products such as dinner napkins, toilet roll, facial tissues, tissue roll and more.

The Mumbai-based startup claims to use biodegradable and compostable raw materials like bamboo and corn starch to prepare various SKUs of tissue, straws, toothpicks, cotton balls, and kitchen towels. Beco also claims to use recycled and craft paper to package its finished goods in contrast to the plastic packaging used by most of their competitors.
