Description

A daily convenience we take for granted, traditional tree-based paper tissue rolls contribute vastly to deforestation activities. Beco produces tree-free tissue rolls from organically grown bamboo- the fastest growing plant on Earth. Not only does Bamboo use less water, it generates more oxygen and removes more carbon dioxide from the air than trees, making it an ideal renewable source of a plant-based material for manufacturing products on earth.

Hypoallergenic, unchlorinated, BPA-free, fragrance-free, paraben-free, and Non-GMO Project verified, the material is absorbent and gentle on the skin. Harnessed with a 3-ply premium quality that is suitable for all types of disposal systems, this super strong and yet soft tissue roll is an easy mindful switch to make.

Ethico says

We are impressed with the strong construction of the bamboo toilet roll. Softer than regular paper-based toilet tissue, it feels thicker and more absorbent. It also feels great to use a chemical-free personal hygiene product that’s safe for our bodies and our waste management systems.

About the brand

With a vision to provide sustainable alternatives to such everyday single use products, Aditya Ruia, Anuj Ruia, and Akshay Varma founded Beco (Be Eco), a consumer goods company in 2018, which manufactures biodegradable and sustainable alternatives to single use-products such as dinner napkins, toilet roll, facial tissues, tissue roll and more.

The Mumbai-based startup claims to use biodegradable and compostable raw materials like bamboo and corn starch to prepare various SKUs of tissue, straws, toothpicks, cotton balls, and kitchen towels. Beco also claims to use recycled and craft paper to package its finished goods in contrast to the plastic packaging used by most of their competitors.
