Ethico says
What we love most about Aarohana’s products is that apart from being functional and attractive, they are handmade from multi-layered plastic waste that is rejected by most recycle organizations due to its composition. Every pencil case in particular ensures that at 7-9 plastic bags stay out of the landfills and our seas!
About the brand
Aarohana EcoSocial Developments is a social enterprise that works towards sustainable development while also creating livelihoods. They upcycle plastic waste to make fabric with the help of a traditional charkha and handloom, which is later used to make bags, home décor and stationary products. Unlike most other upcycling organisations, they also work with multi-layered plastics, which are very difficult to repurpose. They also accept plastic waste (bags and food packaging only, no hard plastic or milk packets) if shipped directly to their office in Pune.
